Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

This policy explains what personal data Bucket of Books collects, why, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

We do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank details. Cashfree handles these directly.

Why we use it

We do not send marketing emails, and we do not sell your data.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the services needed to run the store:

These providers may process data on servers outside India. We may also share data if the law requires it.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs to work: one remembers Your Bucket, and others keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep order records so you can return to your books and so we can meet legal and accounting duties. We delete or anonymise data we no longer need. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to help you.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Deleting your data may remove access to books you have bought, and we may need to keep some records by law.

To make a request or raise a complaint, email yash.bucketofbooks@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our store is not meant for children under 18 without a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect children's data without that consent.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will show the new date at the top of this page.
